From what I can tell a lot of people wrote this series off at first because it seems overly cute and has a rather generic concept.
But, it's not actually overly cute. It's just cute enough. The characters don't have any characteristics to make this series unique, but it's done well enough that you can enjoy the series anyway.
It's nice and cute and is about characters actually trying to live up to the title of "Happy Cafe" by making others happy while looking for their own happiness.
